Ok answer me this Mr. Science, er, detective type person.

Why does the burning molten metal lie 60 to 70 feet below the rim of the crater?

youtube.com

It is entirely unnatural and very suspicious looking.
In fact, there's nothing natural about it at all.
The molten metal should almost be level with the rim of the crater.
It's not, by a long shot.

Please avoid your off topic meanderings like geological evasiveness.
Concentrate on the look of the crater itself.
