That is the unspoken reason. The other two they have articulated. The problem is there is no proof. It is all speculation based on the thesis that Obama is an evil, Islamo-fascist bent on the destruction of America. They tried that during the election, only the faithful bought it. And the Fox viewers were already on that page. Will they be able to sell that idea now? So far the answer seems to be no . And the idea doesn't appear to be gaining traction. So they are essentially back to unskewing the polls to get reality to match their conceptions. If they fail, what are the odds they will retreat into the delusion that everyone is in a plot to get them? Learning from mistakes is only possible if you don't have a victim mentality like the Right has. You can see that already with the claims that normalizing gays into society is infringing upon their right to homophobia and constitutes tyranny.
