Read "We the Living". You will learn to detest that word, "Comrade" as much as I do. As to forcing an 8 year old to change gender--that is troubled ground. Reading something by some internet blogger doesn't help. Certainly, any parents would be negligent if they did not provide therapy to a child needing therapy. I cannot judge these parents on internet misinformation. They might be good parents and they might be horrific parents projecting unto their child.. I don't know anything about them and neither do you. But if they are doing anything to violate their child, then I hope the authorities will intervene. Common sense tells me that such a momentous and life changing matter should involve the authorities in a big way, if we are truly to honour the idea of individual rights and freedoms. Christ! I can't even (legally) build a deck without a bloody permit! There are laws against child abuse, so I trust that the authorities will respond if they have violated the rights of their child.
