Crickets come out at nite, don't they? I would hear cicadas during the day esp when it got really hot; crickets at nite.

Yeah, it sounded more like that except louder and it would go in waves. It made feel like it was even hotter than it actually was.

You ever do a trip from Cali to Houston.......you walk outside after your plane lands and you feel like you got hit by jungle blanket of heat, bugs and humidity. In Phoenix it felt you had walked into a blazing furnace.
