And yeah, I saw that about the pipe bomb. Sadly, some first responders crave glory and have been known to create situations to respond to. Don't know if that is the case here, but it certainly isn't unprecedented.

That EMC guy is looking more suspicious. It turns out he was 'let go' a few days after the explosion.
