I respectfully disagree with your premise that NOK increases its opportunity by diving into the Android pond. NOK has determined, based upon their hands on research, that maximizing shareholder value going forward is best served by becoming a "whale" in the W8 ecosystem which has the infrastructure in place to become a major ecosystem alternative and by wholly devoting NOK's resources to achieving W8 as a viable alternative ecosystem as opposed to jumping into the Android pond and having to play catch up against stronger competitors by diffusing the density of its W8 resources all the while...and thereby jeopardizing this very real W8 opportunity to re-establish itself as a major player.

No,no, no, NOK needs to apply all of its resources to making the MSFT/NOK relationship work to maximize NOK shareholder value going forward as opposed to wearing 2 hats and not achieving any serious success in either ecosystem.
