My second round picks:

Pitt over Ottawa in 5:

The Isles beat themselves in this series. Nabakov played poorly, the power play was inept and the penalty kill was poor. The Isles outplayed the Pens in 4 of the six games but failed to capitalize on their chances.

Many will pick Ottawa in this series based on how poor the Penguins looked at times against the Isles. But give some credit to the Isles and don't lay the blame on the Pens.

Pitt will have a much easier time in this series.

Rags over Bruins in 6:

The Caps panicked after they got behind 1-0 last night. A tough tight checking D is what wins playoff games. Torts is not wrong. He has won the cup before. Rag fans need to give him a break. Last year, the Rags were exhausted from playing two seven game series (really an eight game series against the Caps). Plus, the Devils are a smart team.

The Rags have a legitimate shot at beating the Pens. But let them get past the Bruins first.

Chicago over Detroit in 4:

There is very little to be said here. Detroit is not in the same league as Chicago.

San Jose/LA Kings:

I got no idea. Maybe later with more thought.
