I have an alternate twist (already posted on Roger's thread):

Our industry is heating up, which will increase labor costs. Meanwhile, Asia can sell us items for lower costs. Firing people is much harder than hiring people. Thus, business will be squeezed from the bottom (labor) and top (pricing). Kinda like Wily E. Coyote running off a cliff and not noticing till he's 10 feet from the edge.

Thoughts/ridicule from any economists out there?
