Buffett got 10% from GE and GS for SELLING HIS NAME and reputation. It is something most others did not have.

BTW, I prefered to buy the stock and wrote about it shortly after the buy. See investorhives.com
I didn't buy GS but bought some Citi at $2.95 (29.50 split adjusted) as I thought it had the potential for higher returns....

BTW2. if you look at my recent newsletter and personal buys of MSFT at $26.65, Intel at $20.25, HPQ at $14.50 and AMAT at $11.50 and read what I wrote at the time... they paid much better than 10-yr USTs or the debt these companies offered... Also, I thought the prices were down to good support levels as well as valuation levels. That is where I prefer to take risk and when I take profits, I usually keep the profits in 100% government guaranteed instruments until needed again for other opportunities.

BTW3, I have some other stocks that should benefit from P2P (or any network traffic, especially movie watching) but they don't pay a dividend....
