With at least half the population in the US that doesn't know or care, we have to wait for it to be obvious to everyone. Even though in general I'm informed, it is good to get a 30,000 foot view once in a while. Watched the Nova episode on Netflix (Secrets Beneath the Ice). Very good production with a lot of newer information about which I wasn't aware (12 million year old plant material that was NOT fossilized but still supple and retained cell structure!! How cool is that?) Upshot: Western Ice Sheet goes - we'll notice. Eastern Ice Sheet goes - 100 million people will have to move to drier land. I don't get RW people who like to fish and hunt, but seem to be blind to long term trends in the habitat.
