They weren't enemies until they were. They had everything in common except the Slavs weren't the Master Race but their Socialism was the same. Might want to see en.wikipedia.org They say the invasion of Poland was the beginning of WWII ignoring Japan's conquests for nine years and also ignoring the fact the Soviet Union invaded Poland with the Germans.
