I think Zimmerman has a weak ego and was a wannabe cop who had a gun that gave him a false sense of power. And in the process, killed an innocent teen. What I find curious is your position..........why the lack of empathy for the Martin family and the support for a man who committed murder.

I feel horrible for the Martin family. I feel horrible that they raised a thug who attacked a man who was simply watching out for the security of his neighborhood. I feel horrible that they are having to deal with his death. It must weigh very heavily on them that they didn't take the time and effort to raise their son to be a good person and that they are at least partially culpable for his fate. I understand why they are lashing out and looking for someone else to blame for their son's death. Denial is probably their most effective tool for dealing with his death. And they are getting help in prolonging their denial from the people who profit from creating and exaggerating racial tensions. There is a good chance that they will never have to deal with the fact that they were horrible parents who put their child on a path that ended up in his death when someone used deadly force defending his own life against a teenage thug.

Zimmerman is as of yet, not convicted of any crime. You can use the word "homocide" but not murder.
