there are many animals in the hk concrete jungle, and all have a role to play in the playing out of the script. would say most people i know in hk are actually not originally of hong kong, whether they are chinese or otherwise, and we make our home here because of something about the place. because the place is populated w/ eccentrics and adventurers, it is more fun here than a lot of places i could instead be. more importantly, a lot of people in hk know a lot of other people, and amongst the group there are those who know the lead lawyer who drew up the legal papers for gld etf, and other lawyer who defends the indefensible libor-fixing scoundrels. amongst the known-knowns are of course also some of the small team of gata. let us see if everybody shall be proven correct.
