WILLIAM 1, I know this is an old post that I'm responding to, just wondering what it was all about. I am posting a copy of the last note that I faxed to Frank Landi Sr., and hope that you or some of our fellow posters and shareholders may be able to fill in the blanks and share what they know. Thanks JOE >>NOTE TO FRANK TODAY>>Attention: Frank Landi Sr. From: Joe Turmaine (204) 477-7101 fax August 15, 1998 Mr. Landi, again, as a shareholder of Araldica Wineries I would like to thank you for keeping us updated on the situation with Lewis and his WIN newsletter. I don't like to believe in conspiracies, but in this case there are not many other reasonable explanations, no one that I know has beaten a path to his door to subscribe to his newsletter. Keep up the good fight. I do have a few questions that I faxed a couple of weeks ago, but as of yet have not received an answer to. So here goes again. 1. Recent news releases indicate we are selling product via the Internet the Araldica web site ordering page does not support that claim. It implies that phone, mail, fax are still the only way to buy. What is the scoop here? Can we order directly over the Internet or not at this time? "May 29, 1998...ARALDICA WINERIES, LTD. (OTC:BB - AWLT) Louis D. DeSantis, President announces today that Araldica has exceeded expectation for initial Internet sales." 2. Are we producing wine or growing grapes at our Italian property? "December 4, 1997...ARALDICA WINERIES, LTD. (OTC:BB -AWLT) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of AZIENDA AGRICOLA ANTOGIANNI S.r.l., of Montefoscoli, a winery and vineyard located in central Tuscany." "From Lewis' article"It would also mean that the company either cannot acquire the Azienda Agricola Antogianni Winery in Italy as it claims to have done in its news releases or must give up its license to sell wine.????? 3. The $5 million in advertising was challenged in the original WIN article. Could you update us on plans in this area?? "August 7, 1997...ARALDICA WINERIES, LTD. (OTC:BB - AWLT) announced today its purchase of a $5 million block of network broadcast time, which it plans to use this Fall to introduce its proprietary line of premium Italian specialty foods, known as "The Mediterranean Diet Club", to American consumers." 4. Do you anticipate any problems raising the $700K to close the Danielle deal? Has it already been raised? I was glad to see the extra money go to the deal & not the lawyers. From a fellow Shareholder (Ed Hill 250K+), "Be sure to have several follow up questions for use when he side steps the issue of having or getting the $700K to close the Danielle deal. Also, I want him to know that when the deal closes, I am available to go to Goshen (for bare bones compensation and expenses) to help with the transition. I have a lot of experience with acquisitions and transition periods. Also a background in financial management. 5. As a shareholder I do not care about your past run ins with the legal system, other than there is nothing worse than not being able to clear yourself or your name when you are innocent. I don't believe that any of the shareholders I know will be concerned about something that took place 20 years ago. We only want to see Araldica succeed. That's all I can think of right now, other than it would be great if you could utilize Matt's web site to keep investors more up to speed on what's going on with Araldica. Not just responding to these attacks, but general info, the kind of stuff that would be discussed around the board table. Thank you again! JOE TURMAINE <<
