You didn't clearly make any point before. Now you have, if a mostly incorrect one.

Yes germs only cause disease under the right circumstances, and yes not all disease is caused by germs, but such additional bits of information aren't relevant to anything under discussion. Either Maher argued against the idea that germs cause disease, or he didn't. If he did then there was no grandstanding or misrepresenting on Dalmia's part, just an accurate stating of the facts.

All of which is only about one example of Dalmia's point, not the point itself, or the other examples. Dalmia had it right, those that try to claim that liberals always go with the best science are wrong. People of all different sorts of views are prone to ignore evidence that disagrees with their views.

You didn't make much of a clear point. If your point is supposed to be that Dalmia is grandstanding you didn't present any relevant arguments and facts to back up that charge. Doesn't mean it can't be true, it might be, but you haven't done anything to show it is true.
