Hi V.K. - If you are trading NOVL for 7/8th of a point, then you are waisting your time and energy IMHO. Unless you are using some cheap online broker, you end up paying too much commision on the trade which, in your own words, may take a few weeks. You may accomplish the same kind of gaine by selling covered calls (as I have been doing a la Erick). Better yet, you could have bought VLSI under 20 and made more in three days, or CREE at 21 and done much more in one week. Look, NOVL is up 50% from its 52 weeks low this year and it did it with such a minimal downside risk. In this respect (the minimal risk, I mean) this is one of the best performers I owned this year (beside AND which I rode from 10 to 70 in six month and CYBE which went from 10 to 37 in less than a year -- NOVL's performance was comparable to BORL which doubled, so will NOVL in due time). I believe in Erick Schmidt almost like I do believe in Del Yocum. For a while, in fact, NOVL and BORL seemed to be running neck to neck, catching up to each other when getting apart. BORL now is much more clearly on track. I think NOVL will be as clearly in one quarter or two. We just have to concentrate our analysis on a NEW Novell and not the company who produced Netware. Like an IPO with 1 B$ in cash and one helluva genious scientist at the helm -- think about it in terms of products to come. I think, that is why Novell is not making big effort to let people know what good products it has. The reason, I think, is because it is baking on a competely diffrent direction.. on a New Company alltogether. Go NOVL.. Ghassan.
