Kirk, where is this 'low cost' energy coming from? It is certainly not oil or natural gas. While we may now have plentiful hydrocarbons, they will not be low cost. The effort involved in extracting hydrocarbons from shale rock , which is what frac-ing is all about, is quite expensive and will keep a nice high floor on oil prices. We averted 'peak oil' through expensive technology. That was no small feat but it doesn't come cheaply.
