The CIA told Bush about the WMDs in Iraq. Are you saying that Bush should have second guessed the CIA?


Yes, before starting a damn war over it which killed and maimed thousands of Americans and caused us a significant chunk of change. In fact, if he had been doing his job instead of playing soldier, he might have prevented the Great Recession.

Was invading Libya over Benghazi ever an option? Not for anyone sane. So if there was uncertainty for a couple of days, no big deal. Invading Iraq was more than one the table, it was policy for the PNAC, of which Cheney was a signatory of the founding principles.

So on the one hand we are talking about maybe a couple of days in fielding a response versus launching an illegal war.

Hmmm. Yes. I see how both are pretty much the same...
