We even see aquatic life now that demonstrates an early transition to land in fish to reptilian adaptations. The basis for air breathing lungs were already developed in the sea. It took generations & special conditions of the shallow inland seas & ponds that led to that branching transition to the reptilian but obviously we know that it happened.

Theres life that lived & evolved in shallow water & that free swimming in the deeper waters, larger sharks usually dislike the shallows not these little guys. ( there are people/humans with minds that like the shallows & sand box world vs those that can navigate & swim more easily in the deeper waters too)

Little Forrest Gump here has some truckin to do and he aint swimmin.
