Soros mostly does the right thing at the right time. Not always, unfortunately. But if he gets screwed, so do I.

Then Soores lost his ...on that one. Supposedly sold GDX (currently 26.41) and then bought the call options on the juniors GDXJ. Sounds like a double down type desperation strategy.
