DJIA monthly: Took two years to recover fully from the '87 crash. It never reached the bottom Bollingers. The S&P500 was similar. However the Nasdaq was more volatile: A mild downtick compared to 2008.

The day before the decline featured many new highs - ALL small cap low priced stocks.
