First of all, Wilson is not a source of reputation. As you know, he was extremely hard-core anti-Bush, and while the Bush Administration subsequently admitted the statement had been based on forged documents, they did not know that at the time. It is clear that you do not distinguish between a "lie" and a "mistake". Mistakes were made; and they were admitted to by the Bush administration. That is different from, for example, the Obama administration lying then continuing to lie after they got caught. As to the yellowcake, it wasn't important as it turned out, because Saddam later was proved to have had some 550 metric tons of it. Why did not the inspectors simply make public the fact that it didn't matter since they already had a decent stockpile? Presumably, the inspectors knew of it. But for you to hinge your entire claim on the statements of Joe Wilson is pretty absurd given Wilson's history. It is important when you claim someone "lied" that you produce an intent to deceive; otherwise, it is a mere allegation from a leftwinger that Bush pissed you off, which everyone knows anyway. You cannot go on for a while, because there isn't anything to the yellowcake argument, nor is there to any of the other arguments. When you claim "Bush lied", you're claiming that Colin Powell lied, that Hillary Clinton lied, that Bill Clinton lied, John Kerry lied, that practically every member of the Intelligence Committee lied, you get the point. Even Harry Reid lied. So, is this some great conspiracy between Rs & Ds? I think not. People made mistakes. The only "lies" were when certain Democrats claimed, after the fact, they were opposed to the war.
