NVDA scan error: on 5/20/13 NVDA showed as a buy in my scan Message 28905683 when I scan for that day NOW [5/22/13] NVDA is not on the PnF buy list any more my conclusion: stockcharts.com fixed a data error. My email to them was answered but the answer did not clarify my question. I'll drop the matter. takeaway: there will be errors

End of NVDA saga. Here's the last reply from stockcharts.com customer support Cole Johnson, May 22 11:39 (PDT): Dear Gottfried, I also noticed that NVDA had a data adjustment yesterday but I'm not sure if that caused the differences that you noticed. We adjust our historical price data to remove the effects of fund distributions, dividends and stock splits from our charts. For more information about our data adjustment policy, please see this article: support.stockcharts.com Note that we now offer special unadjusted ticker symbols for most stocks and ETFs. To see a chart of unadjusted data, just add an underscore character to the front of the stock's normal symbol. In this case, compare: stockcharts.com[PA][D][F1!3!!!2!20]&pref=G to stockcharts.com[PA][D][F1!3!!!2!20]&pref=G The bottom line is you want to be aware of data adjustments when looking at historic P&F Chart patterns.
