OTOH, I think NT's weaknesses may catch up with it, especially in light of the trend towards outsourcing of IT. I see even small companies beginning to outsource. That may lead to more performance-centric (and professional) decisions about what hardware/software to use. I think at least part of NT's purported success relates to ready availability and uninformed perception.
