The main point for me with Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff’s seminal work on debt-to-GDP levels having been partly incorrect is that it makes more government spending a lot easier to defend.

And the real debt to GDP issues still remain. Here's the ratios after the error corrections - Reinhart & Rogoff's basic point about slower GDP growth as debt grows remains true.
