It is misleading and what I would called a normal market or sales deception technique. Or it is clear indication of an individual who is ignorant of the true costs creating a reliable power generation system. Also if you run a system with 100% available energy sources it is far different from one where the source has varying availability. I am a hands on engineer, I expect you also have some hands on experience. We both can create and maintain a system with minimal build and maintain costs. But joe q public who really does not know what a wall switch does can easily have the system costs double and triple over time due to lack of maintenance and equipment failures, PV or other. The cost of system output is decreasing, But what of the other costs of the system. What of the other system negatives like the unknown future weather.
