Because OAKT is more diversified as is NSM, not only do you get a highly praised new product like "WARP5" but you get everything else "warts" and all. Plus 145M in cash. How much does 3dfx have? :) << TDFX is cheaper to acquired (although buy it now will pay 35% higher today than yesterday) and has proven acceptance of its 3D technology. Buying OAKT means also buying their CD controller business which NSM may or may not want to involve. TDFX also has excellent Current Asset to Liability ratio. Nice weekend aC

<<<98 has got to be a better year for us<<< Agreed. OAKT stock price has everything bad in it, what left is only good news. Don't forget in early 1996, the stock price was like shitty, then good earnings came out, it jumped just like TDFX did Friday. We never know what OAKT has in their cook book now. TDFX says they have demand exceeding production, I suspect much of that overflow might got to OAKT, at least I hope. OAKT is a dog now, being sold for tax reasons.
