Woops. I just read Cameron's post. As it turns out, the information WAS available to you.

In this case, I believe you have less cause for complaint. You got a timely resolution to your problem, and you were charged a fair price for it. This saved you the time of looking up the solution on the Iomega website.

I do believe that the tech support person should have explained clearly that he was charging you because the information was already posted on the web.
