Its a market of stocks, not a stock market.

At any given moment there are individual stocks defying the indexes... Some overvalued, some undervalued, ALL TBD based on unknowns like the global consumer economy and adoption of MS smartphone OS.

Unless you are day-trading and making middlemen richer, NOK is el cheapo in valuation with little institutional support coming off the dividend suspension -- and with that comes dollar cost averaging strategy now that NOK is out of the ICU and is in physical therapy.

I hope you get your money back; and go into the black its better to buy too early than too late.

You could go to the dice table and when the seven rolls outside the come out bet the game is over. ALL the long money is gone. With NOK, the 7 rolled, the stock took a dump, but our money remained on the table including the theoretical expected return should the company recover in market share, growth and earning.

I'm betting Nokia is going to recover based on what I know this minute, but obviously it is a competitive marketplace and margins will remain under pressure.

We have been through SO MANY situations here on SI over the years. Plenty of dogs, Bill Wexler's Comp USA pick comes to mind for some reason; plenty of really smart people making epic bad calls. But with that has come some wisdom too.
