Have always wondered at the cute little Christians myself, love how they advertise & put their images of God up on highway billboards, just in case God drives by look how faithful we are? The point i was making dum one was clear, how Asians now have syncretized Buddha with Xmas & celebrate the two togther in "BuddhaMas" . This combining & recombining of religious themes ( & theological if one likes) demonstrates just how things happen in real life, real time cross culturally. As the little naked apes learned how to scibbled down their tribal fantasies & borrow ideas & images from others they were indentured too. Nothing original in the messiah story, virgin births & Son of God ideas, only your wanting to think your is original, the Jews took much of their story from the Babylonians & later Philo one of the first "theologians" recognized the superiority of the Greek & inntorduces "logos". Buddhists at least have the true spirit if acceptance going on , what have you got? BBQ Tailgate parties?
