I like this guy's comment:

"There is no point anymore in blaming George Bush or the men he hired or the party he represented or the conservative movement that energized that party for what has happened to this country in the past seven years. They were all merely the vehicles through whom the fear and the lassitude and the neglect and the dry rot that had been afflicting the democratic structures for decades came to a dramatic and disastrous crescendo."

Bull. Fking. Shit.

Accountability. Rule of law. Moral hazard. Merely vehicles? I'm going to throw up. This country was not demanding, after September 11, that we invade Iraq. That impulse was created, nurtured and steered completely by these criminals and their accomplices in our failed national news media. Merely vehicles? Fk this guy. Give him credit? I'll give him credit - for being merely the latest in a long line of national embarrassments who have gained power and wealth by sacrificing what's left of the democratic party's once-lofty ideals at the altar of political expedience. And he won't be the last to do that under his party's banner. Fk this guy.
