Thanks for the info. I got caught in a time warp and missed the 80s. :-). There is speculation that "things may be different this time" because in the past the yeild curve went negative because a nation's monetary authority (FRB in our case) raised short term rates above long-term rates. This time the market may do it and some people believe the effect may not be same.

Of course, some people beleive they will be adbucted by space aliens after the commit suicide, too.

Are the above numbers 10-year yield minus 3-month yield?
