Nope;that's cuz we are much less progressive than we were 34 years ago. Divergence happens when presidential candidates pay 9 or 14%, and nurses and teachers pay 28%, and when billionaires pay lower rates than their secretaries.

The fathers of progressive taxation, like the 10 Commandments, are etched in stone. That's pretty cool.
