Kirk, My comments about COHU were only short term performance, mainly since the beginning of May. The trend so far over that period has been a steady progression upward.

Having said that, the following chart shows the SOX, COHU and AMAT performance with the arbitrary start date of 11 April. From that date forward we can look at the performance of all 3 symbols.

The first few days at the beginning of the chart in April shows a small downtrend with COHU hitting the bottom on the 15th and the SOX/AMAT on the 18/19th. Then an upward trend started for all 3 symbols. The SOX/AMAT shows a fairly smooth uptrend until this past week(5 days) when a slight pullback occurred. COHU on the other hand, hit a "speed bump" on 30 April with a retreat of about 4 percent. Starting 1 May, COHU has gone from about - 4 percent to +18 percent while AMAT has gone from about +5 percent to +5 percent(no gain).

All of this short term review has nothing to do of course with a long term look at the past or the future. As I said, I was only commenting on the performance of COHU starting on the first of May.
