No! It won't work since the cost for the top grade 10ns SDRAM is too high for Compaq to absorb at all. It is not worthwhile for MediaGX system. Cyrix engineers created better idea to enhance the memory speed further by adopting 128-bit SRAM with MXi. Only with this 128-bit memory access feature, MXi will have much faster memory sub-system over Pentium II. Image the speed from MXi when cache hit succeeds! It would leave PII in dust.
