Agreed,the average doctor is overpaid.The brightest and best doctors I know left the field by 50 years old, as they made a lot of money and didnt want the hassles of medicine.Lower pay would greatly reduce the brightest group of male doctors.Some of the bright women doctors would remain as they seem less money driven.My daughter is going to vet school despite high education cost and an average salary of 43K.It is a field dominated by women and low pay.It is more a hobby than a career
