You have to scrounge around to find a political victory by some city in New Zealand to show you're winning?

You will find pockets of loons here and there. But you will not find those politicians having a referendum on spending opm on some loopy idea about CO2 mitigation. Wellington's nickname is Helengrad. There's a clue for you.

Haha, that's funny. I know the young woman who does the energy audits and she's hopelessly ignorant about physics. She goes through a few rituals. <“The Council has taken steps to reduce emissions and prepare for the impacts of climate change. They include practical steps that appeal to households like increased funding for energy savings saw almost a thousand energy assessments and four hundred retrofits since August 2011. Our own social housing insulation has made a big difference too. > Perhaps there are a couple of them as I doubt she could do 1 a day. Well, maybe so. Tick a few boxes and head off for lunch.

Madame Mayor can go have her tea ceremonies with her friends and play with "environmental" matters which are very fashionable in Wadestown and the better parts of Wellington. She's an important woman you know. What do you think the chances are she has a clue about physics or engineering or much of anything?

Wellington council is a joke Wharfie. Ask them about their earthquake preparations and how Wellington will go when it gets a 7 Richter, let alone an 8. It will be horrific and they will not be worried about CO2 mitigation. They should perhaps think about sea level rise from seiche waves.
