<Gee Herb, I always thought that the SI threads were for the investors>

So did I. That's why I was puzzled to see ar and Wilhu and Fred Williams and one or two others post to the Brocade thread. Then the
postings stopped abruptly and several of them were actually
blanked out.

What I find strange is the heat and vigour of the posts when
Brocade was far less well known and without the spotlight of
$20,000,000 venture capital financing. Now, silence.

I am certainly not advocating companies (or their stalking horses) taking over SI forums. Almost all companies today have
their own web sites where they take responsibility for what they
say, and are free to say what they please.

When, in a recent post, I asked why the Brocade thread has been
dormant since Oct. 14th, I was really saying I was puzzled to see a
thread about a private company, and, to paraphrase you,

"Gee Srvhap, I always thought that the SI threads were for the investors."
