****1 STOCK - 1 WEEK **** AMAT long 12-8 open

I would have picked ASND but it will most likely be a gappa and there wont be any profit left either long or short. I liked how the sox was able to stay above resistance. Hopefulyl this tripple bottom will help drive things up a bit. I would have picked one of the wild ones like KLIC/KLAC but I think the leader in the industry will move out first when things pick up. AMAt has strong resistance at 36 1/4 which I am hoping it will break out off and make a quick run to 40 and smash straight into a wall.. Oh yea I do think HLYW will head on over back to 13 or so and that might give a better return but I mean sheesh, who wants to tell anyone they own a video store or bby or something like that..

*****one stock one week***** creaf long open 12-8
creative is under pressure this last week, but its long term support has held well and fundamentals are strong. i have made money on this one once and plan to do it again. i have 600 shares bought this week and am considering more now that i am more liquid. sure am glad i ditched apm and minimized my loss when it broke its support line. i keep thinking that it can't just keep going down but it does. may make it to ten. looks "cheap" here but my books say that the cheap usually get cheaper but if it keeps going i may have to bottom fish. not sure of a buy price, a lot of doubts in the industry right now.

<<Congratulations to Srvhap for his pick SSPIF gained and astonishing 19.57%!!! Record so far!>>

Thanks for the compliments Rudy. It has been a Great Week, sold SSPIF and went into DBCO with cash (I generally don't pick those under $5.00 don't like to have the all cash requirement). DBCO mentioned as a target of American Eco ECGOF. Picked it up at the close yesterday and got another 18% today - my family and friends are gonna have a happy Xmas.

Best of Luck to you and everyone!

**1 Stock 1 Week** Long LRCX Monday open

Lately, several beaten-up semi-equip stocks exhibit great correlation with SOX index, notably CYMI and LRCX. When SOX goes up, these stocks go up, when SOX is down, they go down. My guess that funds are not picking them up yet, shorters ignore them as already trading too low, and daytraders use SOX direction for guidance. Lately, I'd been following SOX as a guide for daytrading LRCX with decent results.

SOX had finally tested the 279-280 level (Oct & Nov lows) and after several attempts managed to break over the 290 resistance. I assume that it will now go up to 305, maybe even to the big wall at 311-314. That will be the time to close the position.

AT's pick AMAT would also benefit if SOX rises, but lately it has shown occasional divergence from the index direction.

BTW, I strongly recommend everybody looking at CYMI - it has a virtual monopoly on DUV excimer lasers required for manufacturing next-generation chips. The semi-equip sector is very much out of favor now and may suffer for a while, but offers great long-term values. Short term, 10 point change in SOX translates into $1 change in CYMI price.

Actually, my best idea this week was picking TER at 31.5 - it closed at 36+. Unfortunately, I bought only 500 shares.

Good luck next week, everybody

Y.

Hello all stock pickers! This time of the year, with all the volitility and the selling for tax reasons a one week pick that is not weak is not
easy. Smart Money 12/5 had an article on Anadigics
ANAD, maker of power amplifiers from gallium arsenide. Sounds good! 12/8 open long ANAD. good luck to all jerry

***1 Stock 1 Week*** long CREAF.

Don't follow the thread much anymore, so if this is already picked, I'll go long QCOM. Both should have an excellent week.
