"Be very careful!"

Tim,

I'd be just as well off flipping a coin as listening to you. You and Chi-X. What a pair.

Skipper

The "only" way asnd will stay above 30 is if they are bought out and even if they are it does'nt happen overnight. I will state this if there is no formal announcement this weekend I really doubt that it will happen.

The real danger here is what will happen afterhours, it could open down+5 points easy.

Tim, Do you take vitamins? Because I know some that will help you think more clearly. Like Ginko Biloba.

These comments are absurd! First what makes you think an announcement must be made this weekend? It is my view, based on
comments made by a certain Lucent employee, that an announcement wouldn't be until the first of the year. Yes, this is based on hearsay, conjecture and rumors floating around the halls of Lucent. But I place more validity in them then your wild assumptions.

Secondly, you are ignoring all the other key contributing factors to the increased interest in Ascend. You keep insisting Ascend will not make its quarter w/o a shread of plausible reason? If you have a gut feeling say so! Don't insist " The "only" way asnd will stay above 30 is if" unless its based on factual data, which a gut feeling should be....thats where I get mine.

Even if an official offer for Ascend isn't tendered, the facts indicate earnings are growing and it has been unjustly beaten down. Another important factor is current changes in the technology sector in general puts Ascends products in a vital key position practically guaranteeing earnings for a considerable period of time. With the emergance of xDSL's Ascend is well positioned with its carrier class products.

My friend I believe you will be lucky to buy in the $20's again!

This reminds me of the post someone made warning me not to average down my mother @ $23. In all this was actually the bottom! It only hit $22 briefly. I make this pledge to anyone who will take me up on it:

If Ascend isn't above $42 by Jan options expiration I will eat 1 share of Ascend if you send it to me. <<<small print>>> Please this offer is only good if I recieve 100 bets<vbg> <<<a lawyer tought me this>>>No just kidding.

Jeff

doubtful asnd will see mid 20's next week, next week is internet world trade show, normally this would provide a bounce to a company such as asnd.
