Liberal pro-tax propaganda example from todays news:

Wealthy benefit the most from top tax breaks, government study shows
.....
The top 20 percent of income earners will reap more than half of the $900 billion in benefits from these tax breaks
.....
House Democrats, who requested that Congress' budget referee conduct the study,
.....

Purpose: Stoke resentment and envy and stoke public support for tax increases.

What's wrong with the story. The wealthy, defined here as being in the top 20%, pay most of the taxes. Of course, the people who pay most of the taxes will benefit from "tax breaks."

When you get down deep into the article you find that not taxing 100% of social security income is a tax break. So is the mortgage interest deduction and state and local taxes deduction. Stuff available to everyone that itemizes.

Don't be stupid. Recognize this is pro-tax propaganda.
