"Zitel will run out of money and go bankrupt in 1998."

Boy, you guys are counting your chickens before they hatch. What makes you think they couldn't do another Reg S deal?

I probably have as big a short position as anyone on this board, but the unbridled optimism expressed by some of my fellow travelers sure makes me nervous. I also feel that the ridicule heaped on people who are long does not make for a good and informative debate. I am astounded that the longs even have the courage to post. Just because someone is optimistic about the company's prospects does not automatically make them a paid shill. Since we would all benefit from a lively exchange of information, I hope that people will be more deferential to others with a different point of view. This is especially true since most people who are long are suffering. We're making good money; why do we have to rub it in?

In my opinion it is by no means a certainty that this stock is heading directly to single digits. It's shown resiliency before; it may again. I also think it's possible that Zitel may actually get some Y2K contracts (though I would be astounded if they were significant). And, I don't see any reason why the performance measurement and Datametrics divisions couldn't be turned around.
