WSJ story is calling the talk "a takeover rumor of dubious merit".

I wonder who was behind the "dubious" rumor and what will happen to ASND shares Monday if that is proven to have been the case?

Seems to have gotten the shareholder suit against ASND off the air though.

Regards

There is no problem buying CSCO shares between now and the split
date. On the confirmation from the broker, the shares will be
sold with "rights to split shares" or some such wording. Not to
worry! [if a problem, it would already be reflected in share price].
