The real point is more like the hate of Obama may be a liability for those associating with him... Ie. the association with the Democratic Party in this case. It has little to do with policy or anything relevant to politics. All sorts of people had similar dynamics through history... Usually Jesus type characters. Widely popular folks are the ones to be careful of... Like Hitler.
