I might take that bet. I say GT goes up and MPRS goes no where or down. You see even though I am a bit peeved at GT right now I don't think they really lost anything for trying. I suspect as some have hinted that the skeletons were in MPRS's closet and GT pulled some last minute shenanigans such as if they found something that didn't quite jive in the bookkeeping etc. then GT says well you have this going on and this is what we want in compensation. Sort of like "hey, you didn't tell us about this and it's going to cost you!" Something strange happened outside of the stock price falling substantially. My feeling is that tis may not drive a stake in the heart of Microprose but I wouldn't be surprised they are looking to get away from the sunlight right now. Now that I have calmed down, GT may have really saved shareholders from being involved in a train wreck but we'll have to see what happens. Now, I am not surprised that it was a mutual thing. MPRS wants to work with GT to get the product out so I suspect they did a fair amount of butt kissing. GT can distribute MPRS products at a relatively low overhead so they are doing their fair share of smooching too. All in all even though I was looking forward to the titles coming under the GT label I am kind of glad it's a dead deal.
