Warren Buffett buys stocks with the idea of holding them forever, or at least until some of the key fundamentals change for the worse. Yes, but he also tends to avoid tech stocks claiming not to understand them. I interpret that to mean that he cannot tell when the key fundamentals might suddenly change for the worse. We have seen the short-term fundamentals change suddenly for the worse several times with SanDisk but the long-term fundamentals are still good provided that the promise of BiCS and 3D ReRAM pays off.
