But none is more important than the fact that the Obama campaign was successful in hiding the scandals (with considerable help from the media) until after the elections. And Obama was generally a better slick-talking salesman. He had no record to run on, and he didn't -- he ran on everything except his own accomplishment, because frankly, there was none that people would have reelected him on. Essential in this process was getting young voters, who essentially are predominantly ignorant or stupid, to support Obama. From an election mechanics point of view, this was essential to his win. But nothing was as important as hiding the scandals, which had the American people known about them, would (IMO) have changed the outcome. A gullible America was sold a bill-of-goods by an excellent used car salesman.

Al, Why did such an excellent "administrator" get his butt kicked so badly "administratively"? To the end this fellow thought he was going to win, so that he didn't even prepare a concession speech. But the great manager and skilled administrator was hopelessly beaten and didn't even know it. This is yet another meme being advanced by liberals who can't defend the utter incompetence of the Obama administration. "Well at least Obama was competent enough to defeat Romney." No one is debating Obama's campaign skills. Everyone knows he's at his best on the campaign trail. Unfortunately that's all he knows. Even his way of dealing with this nation's fiscal issues was campaign (yet again) and try to use fearmongering to get popular support for his "my way or the highway" approach. The biggest example of Obama's incompetence will become apparent in 2014 when ObamaCare really kicks in. It's going to be a mess right out of the gate, and I don't think Obama and his administration will be able to deal with it. Tenchusatsu
