Hi Bob G.,

I have been busy this last week, preparing a product for a tradeshow. I spent the last couple of hours reading the couple of hundred posts I missed.

I leave this thread for a few days, and what happens! National Stock tanks close to 5 points!

For those people speculating on National's earnings next week, here is some food for thought. National will be absorbing Cyrix's earnings for the last two months this quarter. Unfortunately, these last two months, are heavily biased with low ASP Cyrix PR166 amd PR200 speed grade parts. So don't expect the Cyrix addition to add much this last quarter.

As far as National earnings: National does about 100 Million dollars worth of business with Intel, could Intel now decide to go shopping elsewhere, now that National competes with Intel directly?

I think so! Do you think Intel may hold a grudge, since it was Cyrix that helped make the sub $1000 dollar PC possible!

Bob

LB has their semiconductor reports back up.
lehman.com

They have National doing $1.92 in this fiscal year '98 and $2.45 next year for 27% growth. Based on Friday's closing price and $1.92 earnings the stock is trading at a P/E of 15.3.
