SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1997--Firearms Training Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:FATS - news),
announced today that the Canadian Armed Forces exercised several options on its existing Small Arms Trainer (SAT) contract
and its Indirect Fire Trainer (IFT) contract. These options combined with the base contracts increase the total value of the
contracts to approximately $13 million. Product deliveries are scheduled over two years with the initial delivery scheduled for
the first quarter of calendar 1998. The SAT contract was awarded in July 1997, followed by the IFT award in September
