There is a young girl who is studying speech pathology who wants to learn my daughter's technique for treating autistic children's speech disorders. She would gladly work for nothing to learn the skill. But for my daughter to hire her, she has to not only pay the girl, she has to pay her minimum wage, buy workers compensation insurance, pay ridiculous SS and unemployment taxes, and deal with all the trappings of that bureaucracy. It isn't worth it.
